What data we collect
When you use our services, or you get in touch with us by email, over the phone, or on social media, we collect some of your personal information. You may also be sending us confidential documentation or personal information in relation to the translation or interpreting jobs we carry out for you. We are registered with the data protection commissioner as a data processor. This registration requires that we have up to date policies and procedures for processing, storage, retention, data security and data deletion. These policies and procedures are also part of our ISO 9000 quality management system and is regularly audited for compliance.
What data we receive
To give you a great service, we need to be able to collect some information from you to complete the tasks you require from us. Including billing or payment information. This could be your name and address, or your bank details when we need to send you money. If you work with us we are required to collect and hold some personally identifying information to authenticate who you are and to validate your qualifications.

How long we keep your data
In most cases, we keep your data for a minimum of 6 years, according to legal requirements, this will include transactional data. However incidental data or personal information that is contained in documents that you send us for translation we periodically purge from our system when jobs are completed following quality review and administration tasks. We don’t wish to keep this data any longer than is necessary it is of no use to us, and we do not use any information contained in your data for any purpose.
Do we transfer your data internationally?
Yes, sometimes it is necessary to transfer some data internationally so that our people can give you the best service, we will tell you if this needs to happen. Sometimes we need to transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area to some of our partners to work on the jobs you send us. We use EU-approved ‘Model Contracts’ and EU-approved ‘binding corporate rules’ to ensure your data is protected and cared for as it should be. You can tell us when you send us work how you would like to handle any transfers of information or data. International financial transactions require that some information is shared between banks to ensure money is going to the correct account and to combat money laundering, we will let you know when we set up financial transfers what data is required to be sent to financial institutions, as worldwide requirements vary.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we have about you. You can also ask us to change it, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to the way we use it by emailing privacy@transferendum.eu. Thank you for taking the time to read.
