Our business practices are not deemed aggressive to the environment, but we strive to minimise our impact on the environment where feasible. As such, we accept responsibility for the direct impact of own operations on the environment, such as carbon footprints caused by travel and disposal\/recycling of waste.<\/span><\/p>

Specifically, we are committed to following<\/span><\/p>

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Scope<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

This policy applies to all those working in or for Transferendum. It is to be noted alongside both our Governance and Environmental and Sustainability policies, to form an ESG plan for the company.<\/span><\/p>

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Objective<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>

Transferendum has a duty to ensure employees\u2019 safety, health and welfare at work as far as is reasonably practicable. <\/span><\/p>

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Responsibility<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>

Our business practices are not deemed hazardous to the health of our employees, suppliers, or customers, but we strive to minimise any risks taken by these persons where feasible. In particular, providing safe office practices for our employees and mitigating any problems that may arise in the event of remote work.<\/span><\/p>

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Policy<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>

In order to prevent workplace injuries and ill-health, Transferendum shall:<\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Provide and maintain a safe workplace which uses safe equipment;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Prevent risks from use of any article or substance and from exposure to physical agents, noise and vibration;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Prevent any improper conduct or behaviour likely to put the safety, health and welfare of employees at risk;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Provide instruction and training on health and safety;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Appoint an employee as the organisation\u2019s Safety Officer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Our employees are also responsible for maintaining a safe environment. These responsibilities shall include the following:<\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>To take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves and of other people in the workplace;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Not to engage in improper behaviour that will endanger themselves or others;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Not to be under the influence of drink or drugs in the workplace;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>To undergo any reasonable medical or other assessment if requested to do so by Transferendum\u00a0;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>To report any defects in the place of work or equipment which might be a danger to health and safety;<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>A person shall not intentionally, recklessly or without reasonable cause:<\/span><\/span><\/p>

o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Interfere with, misuse or damage anything provided under the relevant statutory provisions or otherwise for securing the safety, health, and welfare of persons at work, or<\/span><\/span><\/p>

o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Place at risk the safety, health, or welfare of persons in connection with work activities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In Transferendum, both management and staff need to be prepared to respond to the range of emergencies that may arise, such as fire, medical, etc.\u00a0Relevant appendices have been provided to assist with situations such as these:<\/span><\/p>

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Fire Safety (appendix 1)
<\/span><\/b>The Fire Safety Information\u00a0provides specific fire emergency information.\u00a0

<\/span><\/span><\/p>

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>Desktop Safety (appendix 2)
<\/span><\/b>Where employees habitually use display screen equipment (typically computers), they may be affected by physical and\/or visual discomfort if their workstation is inappropriately set up or used.\u00a0 Therefore, please take appropriate measures to remedy the related risks by making proper use of computer and the relevant information on the health and safety aspects.

<\/span><\/span><\/p>

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b>First aid<\/span><\/b>
In the event of a significant injury, the person should not be moved unless it is safe to do so, or there is an imminent danger to them. In the event where the casualty is mobile but urgent medical attention is required, the emergency medical services must be called. Where the situation is less serious, some alternative means should be used to bring the casualty to A&E or a General Practitioner. In other cases, the treatment for minor injury may be deemed necessary. A First Aid kit is stored at the second left drawer of the counter in the canteen which locates on the second floor of the building. Appropriate first aid measures need to be performed with precaution.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

All accidents in the workplace should be reported to the Safety Officer, who should record the details of the incident. Reporting the accident will help to safeguard social welfare and other rights that may arise as a result of an occupational accident.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>

The Safety Policy\u2019s implementation shall be monitored by the following means:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Audits:<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0Inspections and Safety audits and other related audits\/reviews need to be periodically undertaken to ensure that safety is being appropriately managed<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Quality Reviews:<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0In accordance with ISO quality reviews Transferendum are undertaken periodically to review overall performance. As part of these reviews, the Safety Officer will provide review statement of the Safety Policy.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Management, employees, and suppliers who work off-site must note that Garda\u00ed shall be present in every court location, and every off-site location to which they attend they are considered a visitor to that site. When working off-site you must report to \/ accompany the staff member assigned to this role at the site, as all safety procedures will be known to this person. At many locations, visitors are required to be introduced to the safety and evacuation procedures of that site, and you may be issued an identifying badge or pass that states your role there as a visitor which must be worn at all times<\/b>. At certain locations, safety wear \/ protective clothing may be provided and the method by which these garments are to be worn will be shown and must be adhered to. In these circumstances you must follow strictly the procedures as directed by a staff member using our services.<\/span><\/p>

Interpreters\/Translators (suppliers\/vendors) working at The Courts Service or with An Garda Sioch\u00e1na may be at risk of physical or verbal abuse, especially if left alone with clients. Interpreters\/Translators are therefore not permitted to stray outside the public area of a court building or Garda station unless accompanied and supervised by a Garda and accompanied by a solicitor \u2013 upon direction by a judge. Interpreters\/Translators are never permitted to be alone with clients or to engage in conversation outside the scope of their work, no matter how trivial. Refer to the Supplier\/Vendor Code of Conduct for further information.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
